Fuel Capacity
An important aspect that complements the 2019 Mazda CX-3 mpg returns is fuel capacity. That’s because the greater the fuel capacity, the longer you can go between gas station stops. With front-wheel drive, the CX-3 can hold up to 12.7 gallons of gas. Meanwhile, the CX-3 can hold up to 11.9 gallons of gas with all-wheel drive.
SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY
The 2019 Mazda CX-3 mpg ratings are made possible thanks to Mazda’s exclusive SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY. The SKYACTIV®-G engine on the CX-3, for instance, improves efficiency because of high compression combustion. In turn, this leads to a 15% increase in fuel efficiency. Other components include:
- SKYACTIV®-BODY, which results in high rigidity and lightness
- SKYACTIV®-CHASSIS, balances ride comfort with agility and boosts stability
- SKYACTIV®-DRIVE, which improves fuel economy by 4% to 7% compared to a traditional automatic transmission
