G-Vectoring Control Added to Mazda3 and Mazda6

November 23rd, 2016 by

For years, Mazda has been working to categorically improve the capabilities of what a car equipped with a conventional engine can do through the development of its SKYACTIV® TECHNOLOGY suite of design and engineering features. The latest addition to this suite of technologies is G-Vectoring Control (GVC), a dynamic and innovative development in traction control that has recently been introduced on both the 2017 Mazda6 and 2017 Mazda3. South Windsor and Vernon drivers can take a closer look at this innovative engineering marvel before testing it out right here at Manchester Mazda.

G-Vectoring Control (GVC)

The advanced G-Vectoring Control technology has been developed as an integral part of Mazda’s larger SKYACTIV®-Vehicle Dynamics system, an approach to vehicle development that maintains an integral relationship between important vehicle systems like the body, chassis, engine, and transmission. As the first developed technology in this suite of technologies, G-Vectoring Control improves chassis performance by developing its functionality alongside engine output.

The idea is to vary the amount of torque that is put out based on steering commands from the driver. The result is a more controlled approach to acceleration that optimizes the amount of force applied to each wheel. All of this combines to make your drive in the new Mazda3 and Mazda6 smoother, more responsive, and more efficient, benefitting you whether you desire sporty responsiveness, confidence-inducing smoothness, or efficiency.
